Bennie & Elaine have been married close to 30 years.
Elaine has lived in Houston for 35 years and Bennie is a native Houstonian. They
met one day when Elaine was riding a horse. Bennie said, “Hello,” and Elaine
likewise and they been together ever since. As they became older it started to
get more difficult for them to cook and take care of themselves. “We have a
hard time walking. If it wasn’t for Meals on Wheels I don’t know what we do.
We don’t have a car to go to store. We don’t have a lot of money.”
Bennie & Elaine have received Meals on Wheels for two years.
Both are appreciative for all of Meals on Wheels services. “First Christmas
with Meals on Wheels they brought us some presents. If it wasn’t for Meals on Wheels we
wouldn’t have nothing in the house to eat.” As homebound seniors with no
transportation and limited income, Bennie & Elaine appreciates your
donations and gifts.
