REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR ANNUAL AMAZING FAITHS PROJECT DINNER DIALOGUES
Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston announced today the Greater Houston Amazing Faiths Dinner Dialogue registration is now open at www.imgh.org The event will be held on November 17, 2010 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and offers participants the opportunity to gather in religiously diverse groups of ten to 12 people in private homes throughout Houston. The conversation will focus on learning about each individual’s personal experiences of faith and spirituality. Moderators will guide the dialogue and maintain a respectful setting.
Dinners will be held at volunteer host homes in neighborhoods across the Greater Houston Area. Participants will be able to choose a home near the location of their choosing that has an opening for their faith tradition.
“The evening is designed to bring people of all faiths, people of no faith and everyone in between together to expand their knowledge about religious and cultural diversity in our community,” said Lauren Santerre, Interfaith Relations Manager at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston. “The Dinner Dialogue is remarkable and something every Houstonian should experience at least once!”
The event is free of charge and participants are simply asked to attend with respectful attitudes. The Amazing Faiths Project was co-founded by the Boniuk Center for Religious Tolerance at Rice University, The City of Houston and Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston in 2007.
