The 1st Annual Saint Arnold One Pot ShowdownTake one part chili chookoff, one part soup cookoff, one part gumbo cookoff, plenty of Saint Arnold, throw it into a kettle and simmer. Now you have The 1st Annual Saint Arnold One Pot Showdown.
The idea is simple. Teams are getting together their best recipe that features any Saint Arnold beer as an ingredient. They can make anything they come up with: a stew, chili, roast, chicken n' dumplings, or potatoes etc. The catch is that it has to all be cooked in our parking lot the day of the event and everything has to be cooked in one large pot. At 1:00 PM folks that have purchased tickets will be allowed in to sample the entries and then at 2:00 PM judging will begin.
Here are some of the details:
When: Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008. The parking lot opens at 9:00 AM for teams and 1:00 PM for sampling.
Tickets: $15 dollars per person & $5 from every ticket sold will go to benefit Houston Meals on Wheels. Contact Ann Crivello at 713-686-9494 or ann@saintarnold.com to order.
