Meet Brian!—A bright young teen in Houston who is eagerly
submersing himself in Houston’s Interfaith Community. Brian and his family have long been involved
in the Catholic Church. His maternal uncle is a priest in California, his maternal
aunt is a member of the Dominican Sisters and Brian is a student at Jesuit
College Prepatory High School.
This fall, Brian
attended his first iTeen XChange Dinner. The iTeen XChange Dinner is a
respectful environment for students of all faith traditions to discuss their
beliefs. At this dinner, Brian met for the first time,
a student from the Jainism tradition and learned more deeply about the Jewish
faith and other sects of Christianity.
He commented of his fellow students, “All (the students) were from
different backgrounds, it was so cool! I was surprised at how dedicated
everyone was to their faiths. Everyone
there really listened and tried to understand each other. I have never been treated with such respect
and from a total stranger too!”
Interfaith Ministries’ iFaith Teen XChange dinners are only
possible because of supporters like you. You understand how impactful
experiences like Brian’s can be. This
important work can’t be done without your financial support. This holiday
season, we invite you to "Be the Light for Houston" not only this
holiday season but for future generations. Donate Here.
