Interfaith Relations – Creating Understanding and Community

Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston aims to increase understanding among Houston’s faith traditions so that they may work together to create a better society. Right now, IM is accepting applications for two interfaith events: the iLead leadership program and the Women’s Heart Anthology.

iLead
The iLead program is designed to develop gifted students’ leadership abilities to better prepare them to handle the challenges of living and working in a diverse, rapidly changing world. The iLead Council offers high school students a distinctive combination of networking and university level discourse with their peers, as well as unprecedented access to Houston's premier leaders from business, civil service and faith communities. Successful candidates will be a select group of sophomore and junior high school students from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions. iLead student leaders will embark on a journey of self-discovery through three areas: religious and spiritual understanding, business ethics and leadership and civic engagement. Applications, found here, are due August 10.

Women’s Heart Anthology
Are you a fabulous artist? Do you love interfaith women's events? Would you like to share your talent? If you answered yes to these questions, then we invite you to apply to be a featured artist in our second annual Heart Anthology women's interfaith art show. We are now accepting applications for visual art and performance pieces. The evening will include performances from women of faith related to the theme of connecting to God or the Divine. Performances or visual art that are representative of cultural faith traditions performed or produced by women are also welcome. Download Heart Anthology Artist application here.
